Sing

Thought I'd bring some folks up to speed. A little boy has died. He was a 13-year-old student in the class of friend. He was down here at Riley Children's Hospital for GI problems, so we got to visit him. We prayed, talked, drew a little bit, he would write down his responses. Around his room are notes from the missionaries, his Lion King toys and water bottle, a few books and movies. His nurses worked around the clock and his grandmother was always at his bed or down the hall, having fallen a sleep. His teacher was at his side for nearly 2 straight days and we would all sing while we were there.

Please keep his grandmother, and his family and friends in your prayers.

It's certainly the Lord's providence that you all were able to be there with him in the last weeks of his life. Reminded me of Patty Chukinas' story in a recent V&B - if only every dying thirteen-year-old could have what this one did. It's hard to have prayed for his healing and then heard of his death, but the love that he got to experience through God's people is truly the Kingdom breaking out.
